Ming Yeung - Free Style Chinese Painting
Free Style painting is based on simplicity. The flora and fauna express the creation of symmetry and asymmetry in nature.
No preliminary sketches are required. The Chinese paintbrush is used to apply the ink and watercolors onto the rice paper creating the final form.
In free style painting, time is important as a moment too long with the paintbrush will cause the ink to spread too much on the thin rice paper. Speed control is therefore an important technique to master while adjusting the smoothness as well as the sharpness of the stroke.
Just a few colors and brushstrokes that are the main essentials for my art.
